This weekend the FIM Motocross World Championship starts travelling east, and after stopping in Kegums, Latvia, for the tenth MXGP of the season, the series will be moving to Semigorje, Russia, during the 22nd July weekend. The last time Russia hosted a Grand Prix was back in 2002, so everybody in Russia is looking forward to seeing the best Motocross riders in the world in their country.
The promotion of the event in Russia started already months ago and among all the activities carried out around the Ivanovo region, we could stand out the impressive light show, which took place at the main square of Ivanovo – Pushkin Square – on the 26th of May during the anniversary of the city. Such spectacular show was part of numerous events organized around Ivanovo and up to 8000 people gathered together in the evening to see the light and sound show, which took place in the highest building of the city. It was the first time that the city of Ivanovo was hosting such a large-scale light show, so this is why so many people were curious to see what was going on. The show was organized by Semigorje and Investtradebank and it marked the beginning of the promotion campaign of the MXGP of Russia, as well as the start of the ticket sales.
