By Team Puerto Rico | 22 Aug 2012

Gabriel Cátala, Team Manager of team Puerto Rico joins forces once again with “The Professor” Gary Bailey, assistant team manager, in forming and announcing the 2012 Motocross of Nations team to represent Puerto Rico in this year’s event in Lommel, Belgium. The team will consist of Gino Aponte in the MX1 Class; Zach Osborne in the MX2 Class and Jimmy Albertson in the Open class.

Gino Aponte will be riding a Monster Energy, Bike it, Cosworth, tuned Yamaha 450.
Aponte is a 450 Puerto Rican champion and to many he is the best active rider Puerto Rico has had.

Zach will be riding a Monster Energy, Bike it, Cosworth, Dixon tuned Yamaha 250. Zach is the 2010 British motocross champion a very strong rider in the Gp’s, got third overall in the previous two Grand Prix, Czech Republic and Great Britain, in a come back ride from a recent injury that kept him from racing most of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship.
Jimmy has had an up and down season, but this year he’s looking for redemption, as last year, his first at a MXoN, had some bad luck in the starts that kept him from performing at his best. Yet this year, he confirms that he will be better prepared and that this time around will show everyone what Top Jimmy is really made of.
