FAENZA (Italy), 8 September 2012 – Before the MXGP Europe started, some of the best motocross riders in the world visited Mirabilandia, the biggest amusement park in Italy and one of the best well known in Europe. The National and International media joined the riders on this media day and they all had a fantastic day together before the penultimate Grand Prix of the season, which is taking place in Faenza during the 9th September weekend.

Runner up of the FIM MX2 World Championship Tommy Searle from Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit, Jeremy Van Horebeek and Jordi Tixier from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, MXGP winners Evgeny Bobryshev from Honda World Motocross and Rockstar Energy Suzuki World’s Tanel Leok and UEM EMX250 title contender Mel Pock from Monster Energy Yamaha team and home rider Husqvarna Ricci Racing Alessandro Lupino received a very special and warm welcome from the cheering crowd present in Mirabilandia in one of the main squares of the amusement park.

The people who were at Mirabilandia enjoying a day out with the family and friends not only had the opportunity to meet some of the best motocross rides in the world, but also to see two factory Honda bikes exposed in the middle of the park. After introducing the riders to the crowd, all the group went to ride on Katun, the number one inverted coaster in Europe which reaches 110km/h along the 1200 metres of ride with 360 degrees loops from a 50 metres jump.

After such injection of adrenaline, the riders went on to try Divertical the highest water coaster in the world were all of them ended up completely soaked after going on the ride twice in a row and having loads of fun.

Straight after Divertical it was the time to go and see the Scuola di Polizia stunt show, which is one of the most famous in Europe, where cars, road racing bikes and motocross bikes make the impossible on four and two wheels. The riders had the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular show and they were actually called on stage to be presented in front of the 2.500 people who were watching the show.

The riders wanted more, so the responsible of the park led us to Ispeed, a coaster which started in 2009 and it made the riders feel like being on a F1 as it goes from 0 to 100km/h in 2,2 seconds and it reaches 120km/h on breath-taking curves.

It was a fantastic day for all the attendees and thanks to the outstanding treatment from Mirabilandia all the riders had a fantastic day out and they could chill out and had some time off the motocross circus.
