Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations - Winners
By Geoff Meyer | 24 Sep 2012

The FIM Motocross of Nations has had many riders who have been fortunate enough to be involved in many winning teams. From American Jeff Ward and British rider Jeff Smith, who haves seven wins each in the teams event. How about the Belgian riders Roger De Coster and Stefan Everts who have six and five wins respectively, or David Bailey who took five wins in a row in the 1980s?.

2012 representative Ryan Dungey is going for win number four this year, which means he can join Ryan Villopoto as a four time winner. Ricky Johnson also has four victories, as does Johnny O'Mara, British riders Mike Ward, Derek and Don Rickman have won four times each, all coming in the 1950s and 60s.

American legend Ricky Carmichael has three team victories, along with his Team USA companions Mike Kiedrowski, Jeff Stanton, Ivan Tedesco and Jeff Emig. Belgian riders Jaak Van Velthoven, André Malherbe, Joel Smets and Marnicq Bervoets also have three wins each.

British riders John Draper and Vic Eastwood won three each for Team Great Britain in the 1960s. Ove Lundell, Bengt Aberg and Ake Jonsson of Sweden were also involved in three winning teams.
