Outstanding Outcome of Youthstream’s presence at Sportel

FUNCHAL (Portugal), 20 October 2012 – During the 2012 edition of Sportel, the International Sports Convention for television and new media, which took place in Monaco from the 15th to the 18th October, Youthstream had the opportunity to meet with the key TV sport broadcasters, as well as all the main news TV distributors. Thanks to the expansion of the FIM Motocross World Championship to Asia and Middle East, the HD production and the development of the FIM Snowcross World Championship, Youthstream has been able to strengthen the partnership with the 2012 broadcasters and start new projects which will guarantee a better TV coverage of the championships promoted by Youthstream.
Eurosport, Fox Sports, Taj Tv, Motors TV, RURT Russia, RAI, Al Jazeera Sports, Be in Sports, SVT, Auto Television Russia, Globosat, NOS, MTV3, ESPN, Bandsport, Sport TV Portugal, Canal+, Sport 5 Czech Rep, BBC, RTBF, Sport1, Sky Deutshland were some of the main companies who showed a special interest in broadcasting the series promoted by Youthstream and most of the main news TV distributors like Deuthsche Welle, EBU, SNTV, Green lights or RTV will spread the main contents of the championships promoted by Youthstream worldwide.
Among all the companies that visited the Youthstream stand at Sportel there was a big enthusiasm for the 2013 FIM Snowcross World Championship, which will consist on three events, one in Finland and two in Russia. Besides, all the broadcasters found a lot of potential in the 2013 overseas Grand Prix in the new territories of Qatar and Thailand, and also in the 2014 Indian MXGP in the well-known territory of GOA.
Most of the partners recognized the significant step forward that Youthstream has made towards the investment in new technologies to improve the product and to reach every corner in the world. In fact, a clear example used by many broadcasters was the TV production of the 2012 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, which was produced in HD using the latest technology.
During the 2012 Sportel edition Youthstream not only did present their product to new broadcasters, but also they meet up with the 2012 broadcasters who have a long and strong agreement with Youthstream like Sport TV in Portugal, Supersport in South Africa, Bandsport in Brazil, Motors TV in Europe, Sportitalia in Italy, or Fox Sports and Speed in Australia. Besides, some other broadcasters used the opportunity at Sportel to renew their agreements with Youthstream such as ESPN Star in Asia or MTV 3 in Finland, that extended their contracts for three more years, or TAJ TV in India, who will broadcast the series for two more years.
